Hospitalised after his getaway van crashed, he's transferred to the notorious California Penal Institution - The Slams. He discovers that the Mob have a contract out on him but refuses to divulge the whereabouts of the cash to either the black gang, prison warders or the white gangsters inside The Slams, ensuring that he remains a loner targeted by the other inmates.
