Thanks to Jonny Trunk for this tip, a superb and eclectic home-recorded soundtrack to a classic surf documentary from the early 1970s. This album is a double LP which (in the USA at least) you had to mail away to get hold of. Apparently there was a free single with some issues of the album, and there was also an Australian issue. The music is performed by a loose series of 'groups', most of which include the same lineup, all revolving around the Dragon brothers, Daryl and Dennis. There's a mix of funky rock, soul, great instrumentals, hippy psych... too much to describe! Very hard to find and very, very good. Pop quiz: Daryl later went on to become half of Captain And Tenille. Draw your own conclusions.
