Lalo Schifrin adopts a military motif for much of this interesting soundtrack. Songs featured on the album are performed by Hank Williams, Jr. and The Mike Curb Conurbation. The rest of the album is taken up by a series of strong breakbeat funk instrumentals with a lazy, loose sound in keeping with the atmosphere of the film. The theme, military drumming under a breakbeat, guitar and whistling melody, is a classic. Some tracks are featured on the later 'Medical Center' LP.
