Clint Eastwood's short-lived Viva label originally released this compilation of Lalo Schifrin's and Jerry Fielding's music to the first three Dirty Harry films. Schifrin had previously released the music from Dirty Harry in an amalgamated form on a 45 on Verve: they feature here in their entirety for the first time. Superb psychedelic funk with fuzz bass and disturbing string arrangements from Schifrin on "Dirty Harry's Creed" and "Scorpio", while Fielding's scores are more jazz-influenced. There's a great electro track in "Sudden Impact Theme" too.
