Celeste Guy Pedersen PEM PEM 90501, 1970
Celeste album cover

Guy Pedersen is generally best known amongst collectors and DJs for his cult library work on the Telemusic label (particularly Indian Pop Bass). He also worked on several TV and film scores, including this nutty EP. If you're looking for touch French flute over heavy drums, bass and chunky arrangements, you need to check this out. Best of the lot is the crazy Chasse A L'Homme, where Pedersen cuts between a superb flute-funk chase theme and classical pieces! Also noteworthy is a tough piano/flute funker called 'Cavalcade' and even a nice vocal French beaty theme! Excellent stuff.

Overall Rating: 4
