As Bollywood moved into the 1980s, disco was taking India by storm so it was a natural progression for its film music to reflect the change in tempo and feel. This rare soundtrack from a hit movie moves away almost completely from traditional classically-influenced Bollywood film music to a contemporary disco sound, heavily based on Michael Jackson songs. As usual, the sound quality is not that hot but the instrumentation and music certainly makes up for it. There's a superb slowburn 80s funk groover in 'Come closer' (loopable open bassline too), uptempo disco, and even a shuffle-feel cut. Good stuff!
