So how many of you have started digging the 'shows and musicals' bin looking for funk? You might be surprised. Here's a tip to start you off. Orchestrations and dance music on this one are by HB Barnum - usually a good sign when it comes to soundtracks. All of the backline on this LP is pretty tight, but it's spoiled by the vocals. Luckily, there's one HB Barnum-penned number that survives as a great late 70s funk instrumental, tight and choppy. Buy for 'Judas Dance' alone.
