Controrapina Paolo Vasile Cinevox MDF 33.127, 1979
Controrapina album cover

Taken from an obscure Italian Lee Van Cleef movie, this album might be expected to feature some good Italian funky tracks. Not quite - it's mostly very cheesy disco numbers. A little tasty wah guitar plus some fat bass adds a touch of the funk in places. Check out the slowburn 'A Gun For Chris' for typically Italian soundtrack atmosphere. Uneven.

Overall Rating: 3
