Last Of The Ski Bums, The Sandals, The World Pacific WPS-21884, 1968
Last Of The Ski Bums, The album cover

One from the 'great covers' pile. The Sandals had a hit album with 'The Endless Summer' and followed up with this LP. The music is typically 60s, a little psychedelic, guitar group with organ over a cheesy mod beat. Country-influenced in places, there are a couple of notable tight groovy tracks: 'Soul Something' (squelchy Moog and guitar madness!) and 'Porsche'.

Overall Rating: 3

Track listing:

Winter Spell | Ski Bum | Children Of The Sun | Agunus Night | Yellow Dove | Soul Something | Coming Down Slow | Summer's Gone | Return From The Casino | Flowers To Dance On | Water And Stone | Porsche |
