Billy Strange composed and conducted the Berlin Symphony Orchestra on this bizarre sixties soundtrack to the American International movie about the life of the Marquis De Sade. The music is a complex mix of pseudo-classical and contemporary 1960s themes. The 'pop' tracks feature odd echoing female voices and plenty of percussion with whirling wah guitar. An intense psychedelic beat experience! The outstanding tracks include 'Wine, Women And Jam' and 'Bacchanalia'. A worthy addition to any easy-listening or lounge collection.
